Mould Making
ilicone, urethane and polysulphide rubbers are used for a wide range of moulds.
Silicone rubbers are either two component tin-cure or platinum-cure materials. Tin-cure can be poured or brushed and are ideal for easy release and have high temperature resistance. Platinum-cure have low shrinkage and high performance properties.
Urethane rubbers tend to be harder and can be used where high performance and abrasion are factors – for example in concrete casting.
Polysulphide rubbers are very durable, have high tear-strength and are often used where there are longer production runs.
